Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

My favorite place! Family run and great food. The thai mango chicken is my favorite, though I think it is off the menu now they will still made it for me when asked. that is now friendly they are. You get a lot of food so usually make two meals from it. Had most of the items on the menu and all are great! The only thing i wouldn't suggest was the duck, was very dry. But could have been a bad duck that one time. Lunch special are great too!

Great good, great service, mom and pop shop. They also deliver which is awesome when I don't feel like going out. Super affordable.

The food here is amazing. Best Chinese in Kansas City. (Strong comment but I'll stand behind it.) Very friendly staff as well. Try the shrimp fried rice. They use real shrimp not penny size like most competitor's A++ in my book.

Super fresh vegetables. Huge potions. Very good flavor. Nice to have brown rice choice. Atmosphere isn't the best food and service more than make up for it. They also deliver!

This place is great! Stopped in yesterday for the first time because it was close to the new house, the Vietnamese rolls were excellent. My son loved the Chicken lo mien and CrabRangoon. Stop by and grab lunch you won't regret it.

Can't really speak about the food. We went once for dinner and left before ordering because the TV was blaring "Austin Powers" so loud we couldn't talk. The dining experience really matters. If they're more interested in watching TV than preparing my food, I don't want to eat there. We left and never went back.

My family has been coming to this place for years. The luncheon specials cannot be beat in price and taste of food. Being a family-own restaurant allows the family members to really get to know their clients on a personal level. Hui, the daughter and waitress of Savor, knows each of my family's preferences and knows our "usuals." Anytime the chef can personalize your order by adding certain vegetables or leaving them out by just making the request. The food is always of high quality, hot in temperature and excellent in taste. In some ways, I don't want my secret out! Savor is hands down the best Asian restaurant I have visited.

My review is solely based on delivery food and service. I have given Savor two chances. Initially, I tried Savor based on an intense craving for Miso soup (I know pretty odd craving right?) and Savor delivered! It was all the warm, fantastic, goodness my little stomach desired. Along with miso soup I ordered the honey glazed shrimp and side of lo mein. I opened the steaming Styrofoam container and much to my disappointment the shrimp was a heavily fried piece of meat. The smell was over whelming and felt as if I were in the Ozarks all over again... all that fried food! I went ahead and gave it a try but the batter heavily outweighed any flavor the shrimp or honey may have had at one time. Perhaps, I misread the menu and I chalked this up to my own mistake. Onto the lo mein... now this was tasty! The noodles were perfectly cooked and the flavor was fantastic. Craving lo mein and miso I decide to give Savor a second chance. This time I ordered lo mein, edamame, gyoza, and miso. The order took nearly 45 minutes to be delivered. I'll give the store the benefit of the doubt seeing how they might be busy (eh...on a Wednesday night in Overland Park) the lo mein was cold, half of the edamame order was brown and over cooked, and the gyoza was the worst part. The gyoza was extremely overcooked and tough to eat with the sauce already poured all over the gyoza itself seeing how it apparently spilled in transit. The delivery staff have always been friendly and courteous, the online ordering system is simplistic and easy to use, free incentives for the higher dollar amount spent (who doesn't love a free egg roll?), and free delivery in a specific radius of the restaurant. Unfortunately, unless I want Miso soup and only miso soup I will probably have to pass on Savor from here on out. Try dining in! For all I know it may be a completely different experience.

Best Chinese food in the area! When we brought our daughter home from China, we wanted to find a great Chinese restaurant we could visit regularly. We were so surprised at the the number of places that didn't agree with her palate. When we tried Savor, she ate everything. We have been coming here ever since. The food is terrific. The owners treat us like family. The vegetables used in the food are so fresh and the meats are lean and high quality. They will make your dish just the way you like it. The restaurant is not fancy at all. So if you are looking for ambiance, you may not feel like this place fits the bill. The food is hot, the tables are clean and the service is good. Give it a try.

Love this place! Best Chinese in town. Small, family run restaurant. I get the usual General's chicken or chicken Pad Thai. I actually eat the chicken that comes with this dish. It is very tender. The family is always accommodating to our four year old who wants to watch the tv. Owners are very nice and haven't had a bad dish yet!! Little known place worth checking out.

Another vote for Savor. We ate in. The dining room is small; mom was cooking in the back while daughter divided her time between waiting tables and working on her homework on a back table. Orange chicken nice and spicy, garlic shrimp tasty and served with fresh vegetables. Soup and appetizers were fine, service friendly. A nice little place with good food.

This is our favorite asian restaurant in the area - closest we've come to our east coast Chinese food. We love their sesame noodles! Everything we've ordered has been delicious and great portions. Our only complaint is that their spicy dishes are not spicy at all.

I order from savor a couple times a month. Delivery is always faster than their quote but the food is just okay. I didn't think their pan fried noodles were very crunchy so I asked for extra crunchy the next time. They took the time to put the noodles in a seperate box so the sauce didn't soften them. The service and speed are great. The food is better the hungrier you are.

i had Savor deliver again last Saturday, i reordered the orange chicken and found it just as good as its last delivery and the crab rangoon needs a mention too, the pan fried dumplings were really quite tasty the next day. i tried two other entrees mongolian beef and pan fried noodles with chicken and mixed vegetables. they also come with tofu or beef or shrimp or house special. i mention this specifically because " REALLY GOOD PAN FRIED NOODLES" needs to be accented for those who love good noodles. the monogolian beef was good too perfect amount of spice and flavor. well done Savor!

Ugh. Three strikes. We really wanted to like this place for delivery. Our usual place is rude but the food is good. The people who run this place are the nicest people ever but after three tries, the food is just NOT GOOD. General Tso's Chicken, flavorless and soggy. Mongolian beef, dry with not a drop of any kind of sauce or juice and way over salted. Egg rolls absolutely horrible- clearly frozen and heated up, dry and the insides were gray. This makes me sad because their service and delivery people are gems but we will have to go back to the rude place (Yummy Chinese) and get edible food for delivery. Sorry! :(

The people there are so nice! Unfortunately, my food just wasn't that good. It was bland and the steamed dumplings were just bad.
